SITKA

SITKA features young musicians from Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, with band members hailing from Northumberland's Alnwicky and cross-borders ceilidh band The Small Hall Band. After meeting up regularly over the last couple of years to share tunes and play ceilidhs for weddings and parties, Martha Carrdus (fiddle), Molly Adcock (fiddle), Nathan Landon (bouzouki, mandolin) and Dan Lyst (bodhrán, guitar) decided to form a band. Inspired by the likes of Blazin' Fiddles, Jenna Reid, and Fara, the band's repertoire involves arrangements of new and old folk tunes.

The band's previous performances have included ceilidhs for weddings, birthdays and graduation celebrations, as well as support acts.
